Book review : Half Bad TrilogyTitle: Half Bad trilogy by Sally Green.
"The trick is not to mind.
Not to mind about it hurting,
not to mind about anything."
"You've been away a long time. Were you lost?
I was wounded, not lost."

"You've been away a long time. Were you lost?
I was wounded, not lost."
The trilogy starts with a sixteen year old Nathan locked in a cage. Beaten up, and trained to almost death every day. Half White, and half Black witch. Nathan was rejected by everyone, and wanted as a weapon for war everyone else.
Nathan's only concern is to escape, and find his father; the most brutal, and hated Black Witch there is. Nathan needs his three gifts to survive, and his father is his only choice.
In the second book Nathan tries to figure out his gift, and his rule in the events that were happening against anyone's will, who his enemies were. And the worst of them all: himself.
In the last book everything has to come to an end. Decisions must be made, people must die. Nobody knows who's right or wrong. Nobody knows how will it end.
Personally I loved this trilogy so much. At some points it was tragic, and depressing for sure, but also beautiful, and funny. The writing was easy, and they were all nice books to read.
The only thing I didn't like was the flow of the story. In the first book for example it was obvious that the author was slowing things down, to save some events to the next book. So it felt like she was just filling some pages to finish the book. But all in all not bad.
Every book has one major event. Half bad: Nathan's escape. Half Wild: Nathan's Gift. Half Lost: War.
My favorite book was the last one. The ending was tragic, shocking, and I didn't see it coming. I actually cried reading the last pages of the book. But also the book ended beautifully, and I really liked it.
I gave this trilogy 4 out of 5
